Beaver Chase Running Series Presented by Bushtukah

The Beaver Chase Series was initiated back in 1994 as a once monthly low key event designed to get people of abilities out running. The 2k and 6k distances make it attractive for all ages. It got its name at the very first Beaver Chase Series event, where the lead runner was approaching a footbridge over a small creek. A beaver scurried out of the water and chased the lead runner to the bridge and then stood and watched as all the runners past by.

Course Information

The new Beaver Chase 6K course will include a loop through the Nordion Canada campus before heading out onto the Monk Conservation Trail for 2 loops with a finish on Innovation Drive.

The new 2K route will be out and back on Hines Road and inside the Nordion Canada campus.

Marshals and signs will direct you around both routes.

Timing/Results: All events in the Beaver Chase Series are manually timed. Volunteers call out times at the finish line and each runner is to record their times on the form provided. Results will be posted on the Run Ottawa Club website shortly thereafter.

Entry Fees

Payable at each event only. The cost for each Beaver Chase run is $5 per person for any runner 15 years of age or older. Youth 14 years and under pay $2 at the event.

There will be random draw prizes given out at each event, compliments of Bushtukah and Run Ottawa.
