The Hornet's Nest Soccer Fields, Blackburn Hamlet, Ontario

5km and 10 km cross country race through the woods at the Hornet’s Nest in memory of Jim Howe, who passed away in 1996. Jim was a long time National Capital Runners Association member, a respected figure in the running community and instrumental in helping establish the Carleton Sports Medicine Clinic.

Where: The Hornet’s Nest Soccer Fields on Bearbrook Road in Blackburn Hamlet, approximately 1 km south of St. Joseph Blvd. in Gloucester.

Facilities: Limited, there are toilets and no change facilities, but this is a cross country race, not a spa. Light refreshments will be provided after the race.

$10 for Run Ottawa members / $15 for Non-members

October 10, 2009 to October 17, 2009:
$15 for Run Ottawa members / $20 for Non-members
