Central Experimental Farm
An event to benefit “Friends of the Farm,” an organization that helps Agriculture Canada promote the Central Experimental Farm and its various programs. The race follows a 3 loop course along roadways and pathways that wind and wend their way through the beautiful Experimental Farm property. This event is supported by Sports 4, “Friends of the Farm” and the Central Experimental Farm.
NEW THIS YEAR – The Cowpattie 10 Mile Relay
Come join us and tackle the classic 10 mile race or combine with 2 or
3 runners and enter our relay competition. A 2 person team features one runner doing 2 loops of the course while each person on a 3 member team does one each.
Location / start times
Central Experimental Farm, Morningside Lane, south of NCC Scenic Drive - 6:30 p.m. start for both events

Race Kit Pick Up at the event site on Race Day Only: 5:00-6:15 p.m.

course information
The course for both events incorporates roadways and pathways within the Central Experimental Farm south of the NCC Scenic Driveway. For the 10 mile route and the Cowpattie relay, it is 3 loops. There will be 2 water stations provided.
Relay Format – Teams of 2 or 3 persons will be accepted.
Team members can run their leg in whatever order preferred. No substitutions will be allowed once a team list is submitted.
Entry Fees (includes HST) Until July 10
- Run Ottawa Club members $15
- Non Members $20
Late Entries (includes HST)
- Run Ottawa Club members $20
- Non Members $25
Relay Fees: Before July 10th
- ROC 3 person team: $45: Non ROC 3 person team $60
Between July 11 & 17th
- ROC 3 person team $60; Non ROC 3 person team $75

Proceeds from this event are directed to the FRIENDS OF THE FARM, a non profit organization "We work with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) to maintain and enhance this beautiful green space for the educational benefit and enjoyment of the public. We also help to promote The Farm's historical and heritage significance." They will be providing volunteers and support for the event, on the course and start/finish line.
